The target of this project is to provide a simple approach to providing basic medical services for Uganda's rural population. A network of decentralized health units has been installed so that all citizens are able to access 'their' health unit easily, either by foot or by using currently available transport.

These units focus primarily on the treatment of tropical diseases (mostly Malaria and Tuberculosis), intense education about AIDS and ways to protect oneself against it, and advice for pregnant women and mothers including family planning alternatives
